Beautiful soul,
Welcome to The Everyday Life Balance Show and to a very special episode — our 400th episode.
First of all, I want to say a big, big heartfelt thank you. Thank you for pressing play, for walking this journey of love, balance and inner peace with me. Whether this is your very first episode or you’ve been with me for years, I am deeply grateful for you.
This week, as many of you celebrate Thanksgiving, our collective attention turns to something very dear to my heart: gratitude.
You know by now that I am a lover of giving thanks:
- to the Creator,
- to my family and friends,
- and even to the strangers who cross our path and offer a smile, a kind word, or a helping hand.
Thanksgiving is a beautiful reminder to pause, breathe, and count our blessings.
We live in a world where negative news often shouts the loudest. It can feel as though fear and separation get more airtime than love and possibility. But there’s always another side of the coin: what’s working, where we are supported, and how love continues to show up in our everyday lives.
The 3 Levels of Gratitude
I like to think of gratitude in three levels. You might like to notice which one you are living in more often, and where you’re being invited to grow.
Level 1: Gratitude for what we receive
This is the most familiar form of gratitude. It’s giving thanks for all the goodness we receive in our lives:
- A warm home
- Food on the table
- A loving message from a friend
- A body that carries us through the day
It’s that simple “thank you” for the visible blessings.
Level 2: Gratitude for what works
This is gratitude for the positive experiences:
- The project that went well
- The conversation that brought you closer to someone you love
- The new habit that supports your well-being
- Here, we notice what is flowing, and we consciously appreciate it, instead of taking it for granted.
Level 3: Gratitude for what doesn’t work so well
This is the most powerful and sometimes the most challenging level.
Level 3 asks us to be grateful even for our difficult experiences:
- The setback
- The disappointment
- The season of confusion or loss
At this level, we open our hearts and minds even more to Love and ask:
💫 “What is this here to teach me?”
💫 “How is life supporting my growth through this?”
This is where we begin to shift from victim to victor.
We recognise that life is not happening to us, but for us. When we bring awareness, compassion and curiosity to our challenges, we start to see the hidden blessings and the invitations to grow.
Keeping Gratitude Alive in Everyday Life
Gratitude is not just for holidays or special occasions; it’s a beautiful daily practice.
You might like to:
- Keep a simple gratitude journal and write down 3 things you’re grateful for every evening.
- Take a few mindful moments in the morning to place your hand on your heart and whisper, “Thank you for this new day.”
- Pause during the day to say, “Thank you,” in your mind whenever something small and kind happens.
As you know, everything is energy. What you focus on tends to expand.
If you constantly focus on whas wrong, unfair or missing, your world will feel heavy and tight.
But when you focus on love, blessings and possibilities, you begin to attract more of that energy into your life. You start to see the greatness that is already here — and more flows in.
So, this week, be very gentle and very intentional with your focus. Let gratitude become part of your feel-good routine.
Extending Love and Appreciation
As we extend our love and appreciation today, take a moment to remember:
- The people who support you — your family, your friends, your colleagues, and the quiet angels in your life.
- The peace you enjoy in your daily environment, especially if you live in a region free from war or major catastrophe.
These are not small things. They are profound blessings.
As we give thanks to our Creator, to life, and to the people we love, we rekindle one of the most precious gifts we’ve been given: ✨ the capacity to love and to give.
