It Is The Attitude! A Great Attitude Leads To Great Results

How to adopt the right attitude to achieve your goals

According to Earl Nightingale, who is known as the dean of personal development, attitude is everything for a successful life.

Hi, I’m Pascale Gibon. Welcome to episode 258 of The Everyday Life Balance Show. Thank you for tuning in!

Think about it. We appreciate someone with a great attitude and avoid being in the presence of someone with a bad attitude.

The episode I released, at the start of the year, was episode 232: "How To Maintain Personal Growth Throughout The Year."

I propose, in this episode, to review the main principle I shared in episode 232 to ascertain how much you have progressed. I hope you will find this process helpful since we are now more than halfway through the year with only four months remaining.

Now that we are about to enter the ‘Back to School' season, it matters to clarify and articulate how you will spend the rest of the year to stay in integrity with your goals and achieve them.

The main success principle I shared to maintain personal growth is to commit to winning by cultivating a winning mindset and success habits. 

I relate this main success principle to your goal achievement process.

  • How are you doing? Have you made great strides towards your goal achievement since inception, or do you need to make more effort?

Consider this.

  • Where do you focus your mind regarding the goals you desire to achieve? Do you cultivate a mindset based on fear and defeat or perseverance and effort? 

As you know, Walt Disney quoted that whether you say you cannot or you can, you are right. He indicated that we are free to choose our state of mind. In other words, you, as a creator, have full responsibility for your life since you determine your results in accordance with what you believe you can or cannot achieve. 

If you find that you need to readjust your thinking to a winning mindset, attempt to observe your thoughts related to your chosen goal.

  • Does your way of thinking help you progress or not? If it does not, you need to use your thought power positively to transform your results. 

You accomplish your goal with a winning mindset and attitude. A winning mindset and attitude keep you going, help you come out of your comfort zone, overcome the terror barrier and take the risk to succeed. 

A winning mindset is not enough, however. What is necessary is action taking in the form of success habits. 

  • Have you diligently put in place winning habits? Winning habits lead to micro-wins like being clear about where your focus goes, for example. What you put your energy into grows. For example, are you grateful every day for your small successes, or do you tend to complain, blame, shame and criticise? Complaints usually lead to more things to complain about.

Do not take what I say as a judgement but as an observation for greater awareness of where you put your energy and how it may affect your results. Like Robin Sharma says: Better awareness leads to better choices and better choices lead to better results.

Another winning habit is the following:

  • Are you clear about what step to take to achieve your goals, or do you swim in a sea of confusion and wing it?
